These garlic knots are SO delicious. They’re also pretty easy to make, so they’re actually something you can throw together on a weeknight. 

The dough only needs to rest/rise for 40 minutes total; with shaping and baking time, they’ll take you just over an hour from start to finish, with most of that being hands-off time. 

Which means you can get the rest of your dinner ready while these little beauties are rising and baking. Maybe a big pot of soup or pasta? There are no wrong answers when garlic knots are involved.

Is there anything better than waking up to freshly baked sweet rolls on a weekend morning?

School starts up again soon and even though I’m not sure I’m totally ready for summer to be over, I figured we could celebrate Elle’s last weekend of the summer with a special breakfast.

And let me tell you, these strawberry rolls with cream cheese frosting are just the way to do that.

The best part for me is that I can prep them the night before and pop them in the oven the next morning before everyone else wakes up. A yummy, special breakfast for my girl and I still get to sleep in a bit.

I call that a win-win.

There’s something special about having a big weekend breakfast, isn’t there?

There’s nothing quite like waking up to a pot of fresh coffee and a batch of freshly baked cherry turnovers or orange scones.

Except, when you’re the cook of the family (like I am), you don’t get to wake up to the smell of breakfast baking in the oven. You get to wake up and be the one to make breakfast for everyone.

Don’t get me wrong, I still love making a special breakfast for Eric and Elle, but getting up 2+ hours early to make homemade cinnamon rolls from scratch kinda makes the whole thing less fun.

Do you ever make a recipe where you aren’t expecting much, but the results blow you away?

The first time I ever made English Muffin Bread, I sort of haphazardly threw the loaf together as a way to procrastinate doing any of my other tasks at hand. 

I honestly wasn’t expecting much, but in about an hour and a half, I had an amazing-smelling loaf of bread cooling on my counter.

As soon as it was cool, I cut myself a slice, toasted it up, and slathered it in butter. Turns out, it tasted just as amazing as it smelled! 

I guess it’s not every day that procrastinating turns out in my favor, but in this case it definitely did. I highly suggest throwing together a loaf if you’re trying to avoid adulting, too.

While I love cinnamon rolls any time of the year, there’s something really special about making them during the fall and winter holiday season.

There are a few items that are considered an absolute tradition at our family’s holiday table.

Fall is undeniably my favorite season of the year. 

From the cozy sweaters and apple picking to enjoying warm cups of spiced apple cider while snuggled up under a blanket, fall is the best. 

And when else can we enjoy my favorite pumpkin spice treats without our friends and family thinking we’re weird?

Then the rolls are ready for my family to grab, along with a cup of coffee (or even a homemade pumpkin spice latte) or orange juice, whenever they roll out of bed.

Seeing my little family gathered around the breakfast table in their pajamas enjoying their homemade cinnamon rolls is a sight that warms my heart and makes me so grateful for this beautiful season, as cheesy as it sounds.

So when I can combine my love of cozy fall breakfasts with pumpkin spice? That’s just the best. 

This year, my family is asking for these Pumpkin Spice Cinnamon Rolls on repeat. 

And what can I say? I give the people what they want.
