Muffins are one of my favorite ways to enjoy seasonal flavors and ingredients.

In the fall, I’m all about apple cider donut muffins, pumpkin muffins, and apple cinnamon muffins. 

In the spring, I can’t get enough of strawberry banana muffins and lemon poppy seed muffins.

And this time of year, I’m making batches of zucchini muffins and these lemon raspberry muffins on repeat. 

Sometimes I will store them in the freezer to enjoy in a few months when fresh raspberries are no longer in season, and sometimes I just bake them to share with my neighbors. 

Either way, you can’t go wrong with these bright, beautiful raspberry muffins.

We make and eat muffins year-round at our house. But there’s still something about muffins that makes me think of back to school season.

I guess because I love digging into my muffin recipes and whipping up a batch as snacks for my girls. And they are always great for freezing for quick and easy weekday breakfasts, too.

Dominique Ansel’s banana bread is a family favorite around here, so I decided it was time to tweak the recipe and turn it into banana bread muffins. 

I know I’ll be making these on repeat when my oldest goes back to school next month. If you are already anticipating a busy fall season, save this recipe to help simplify at least one area of your life.

Pancakes are one of the very best ways to start the day. My family loves digging into a big stack of fluffy pancakes on a Saturday or Sunday morning.

Some weekends I throw together a simple batch of bisquick pancakes. Other times I’ll whip up banana pancakes or pumpkin pancakes.

When people think of scones, they tend to think of dry, crumbly pastries. But lemme tell ya, scones don’t have to be dry and flavorless, ok?

I love making scones at home and sharing them with friends and neighbors because they’re always surprised at how tender and flavorful they are. Even “basic” flavors like my vanilla bean scones make them re-think what they knew about these pastries! 

There are so many great flavor options to make, too, like pumpkin scones in the fall and lemon raspberry scones in the spring. Right now, I’m loving all things tart and lemony, so these lemon poppy seed scones are at the top of my favorites list.

There’s a local bagel place down the road that makes an amazing veggie ranch cream cheese. It is so good and tastes just like vegetable pizza, only spread on a bagel and suitable for eating for breakfast.

I wanted to be able to whip up a similar veggie cream cheese at home, so I called over to the shop and they were happy to tell me what’s in it. (Don’t worry, I still go there on a regular basis!)

This veggie cream cheese is the perfect summery spread for bagels, sandwiches, and wraps or dip for everything from pretzels to fresh veggies.

I love breakfast pastries. From muffins to scones to donuts, they’re some of my favorite breakfast treats.

And long-time readers also know all about my love for lemon, whether it’s in the form of homemade lemon bars, mini lemon cheesecakes, or simple but delicious lemon sorbet.

My homemade bisquick mix is one of my very favorite kitchen staples to keep on hand and I love coming up with new recipes that use it.

Bisquick biscuits and bisquick pancakes are some of my long-time favorite recipes, but there are so many other options beyond just those. Impossible coconut pie, 7UP biscuits, and bisquick breakfast casserole are just a few of the other recipes I regularly make with this mix.

We love peanut butter around here. Whether it’s the classic PB&J combination in my peanut butter and jelly bars or mixed with chocolate in peanut butter cup cookies or peanut butter cup brownies, my family loves it all.

Waffles are a big hit around here, especially on the weekends. We have some mini waffle irons and Elle LOVES having her own mini waffles.

Yes, I said “some.” We have more than one and I’m not ashamed to admit it!

We have a mini waffle maker that makes standard circle-shaped waffles, but we also have a mini waffle-stick maker. Elle is obsessed with the mini waffle sticks.

I usually whip up a batch of bisquick waffles, but sometimes I want to make from-scratch, homemade waffles. And when I do, this is the recipe I use because it’s the very best.
