]]>If there’s one thing that the world has tried to tell us, it’s that grilling is for Dads and Dads only. But I am here to tell you that anyone can grill up a fantastic dinner.
So if you’ve been intimidated by firing up the grill before, set aside your nerves and give it a try! You can even dip your toe into the grilling waters by trying out a grill pan indoors before you head to the backyard with a gas or charcoal grill.
After all, wouldn’t it be fun to celebrate Dad this Father’s Day by making him a delicious dinner on the grill? These grilled pork chops are a great starting point – they’re super flavorful, juicy, and easy to make!

This is the time of year in the Midwest when we all just want winter to be over. Unfortunately, we still have at least a couple more months to go.
My solution when I can’t stand the gray winter days any more is to make lots of comfort food dinners. Things like crockpot Mississippi pot roast, homemade sloppy joes, chicken and wild rice soup, and spaghetti and meatballs.
There are so many ways to make and cook meatballs, and one of my favorites is to cook them in the air fryer. Air fryer meatballs are crisp on the outside, moist and tender on the inside, and so versatile to use!

]]>This time of year, I love sharing easy dinner recipes that can get your family through those busy fall weeknights.
I know that when you’re rushing from school pickup to sports practices or ballet or piano lessons, dinner is often the thing that gets forgotten about. But sooner or later, we’ve all gotta eat, ok?
So recipes like my Mississippi pot roast, homemade meat sauce, chicken pot pie casserole, taco casserole, and so many more are easy to turn to for a hearty weeknight meal.
These homemade meatballs are the latest on that list. They take a little bit of time to assemble, but are great for making in batches and freezing for later. I’ll walk you through how to do it!

I’m going to be straight with you guys. Football isn’t really my jam.
You’ll find me at basketball games on occasion, but when it comes to football, I really only start to pay attention as we head towards the end of the season, and all the parties for playoffs and the big game at season end.
As you can probably guess, it’s not because I care about who is actually playing. I’m just here for the snacks, okay?
I even have a t-shirt to that effect, for wearing to these parties, haha!
Why are game day snacks just so dang good? I could happily never eat a fancy dinner again, so long as you tell me I can have game day level snacks.
Queso, chips, and sliders like these.. I’d be set.

]]>You guys, I swear I say this every single year, but I am trying to get ahead and stay organized with my holiday shopping.
Last year, I put forth quite the effort for about a week and then failed miserably and ended up shopping on Christmas Eve and wrapping gifts until about 2am.
Not this year, folks. I’m sitting at my computer right now monitoring Cyber Monday deals because this girl is not a Black Friday shopper. In fact, I’m not much of an in-person shopper period, unless we’re talking Target!
So I’m dedicating this day to tackling my shopping list while watching big, fluffy snowflakes swirl around outside!

]]>We have entered a phase of the year where I feel like I am on an endless loop of running from one thing to another between my own appointments and Elle’s activities.
Maybe it is the gloomy, mostly gray, cold weather we get here in the Midwest this time of year. And the fact that all of the holidays are over and we won’t get another good break from the norm until spring break.
Whatever the reason, I can’t get past feeling like I am simply running from one thing to the next on repeat. When life gets like this, I like to have some last-minute, quick-prep dinner ideas on hand, because you know I don’t have time to do a lot of prep work, ok?
My Instant Pot is perfect for this. Whether I am making a soup, chili or this Instant Pot Pulled Pork recipe, I know that I can throw dinner together last minute and still have it taste like it spent the whole day cooking away.

]]>So here’s the thing: if you invite me to a Super Bowl party, I’ll probably show up. But I’m not there for the football.
I’m 100% there for the snacks, okay?
Most of the time I am not even completely sure what teams are playing. I may or may not be aware of who is performing at the halftime show. But the snacks?
Those I will have planned for well in advance.
