Long-time MBA readers know how much I love mini desserts. I have made all kinds of mini cheesecakes, mini bundt cakes, and even mini cinnamon rolls over the years. 

These mini fruit tarts are my newest mini dessert love affair. With the buttery tart shell, luscious vanilla pudding, and bright, fresh fruit, they are a whole lot of goodness in a single bite (or two).

Since I made these during the summer I was able to use a whole variety of my favorite fruits, but I can’t wait to try a berry version, a tropical fruit version, and even a citrusy version during the winter months.

If you grew up thinking that classic pecan pie and fruit pies were your only pie options, think again.

Don’t get me wrong; I love a slice of homemade cherry pie or apple crumb pie, but during the summer I really love cool and creamy pies.

I’m talking about pie recipes like no-bake s’mores pie, lemon icebox pie, or rich peanut butter pie. These pies require very little to no baking and are served chilled, so they are both a satisfying sweet treat and cool you down on a hot summer day.

This Oreo pie is my new favorite no-bake pie. It’s a dream for anyone who loves cookies and cream ice cream and wants those same flavors in pie form!

One thing we do really well here in the Midwest is summer produce. From the very best sweet corn to the juiciest strawberries and blueberries, our farmers sure know what they’re doing.

Most of the country’s tart cherries come out of Michigan. If you live in Michigan or one of the neighboring states, you probably have seen piles of these bright red beauties at your farmers’ markets.

We love a make-ahead breakfast around here. My family loves them because who wouldn’t want to wake up to a delicious breakfast. And I love them because I don’t have to think before I’ve had my coffee.

Whether it’s our favorite make-ahead breakfast casserole, overnight cinnamon rolls, or overnight french toast casserole, I just really appreciate being able to prep breakfast the night before and pop it in the oven in the morning.

You might not think of quiche as a make-ahead breakfast, but it really is. Make it the night before and serve it chilled the next day. It’s just as delicious and you spent exactly zero effort on it that morning.

When I was 15, I worked at a family-owned diner that made a killer peanut butter pie. 

I always wanted to replicate it at home and a few years ago, I finally got to work on it. I made 3 versions in one week and I must say, I totally nailed it.

The original recipe used a traditional pie crust, but I think this version is even better because it uses a chocolate cookie crust.

After all, what goes together better than peanut butter and chocolate?

As much as I love a fancy dessert, this time of year what I love even more is a dessert that seems fancy but is actually really easy to make.

Galettes are perfect for this! They are meant to look rustic and are quick to throw together, but somehow end up looking really pretty when sliced and served up with a scoop of ice cream.

This apple galette recipe originally comes from my friend Allison over at Some the Wiser. It is so simple to make, but when paired with the salted maple glaze, is a real stunner! 

If you haven’t yet settled on a Thanksgiving dessert, I think this should be it. It will definitely be a hit!
