If you’re having guests over for the holidays, there’s one thing I know for sure: you’re gonna want some easy breakfast options on hand.

Especially if you have family members that all get up at different times. You need to have something on hand for the early birds and the late risers.

I like making a pan of my make-ahead breakfast casserole or Mexican breakfast casserole, thawing some frozen fruit, and setting out a batch of freshly baked muffins. There’s a little something for everyone!

It’s finally cranberry season!

I love tart cranberries. I always try to buy extra bags during the holiday season to freeze because I never know if I’ll find them again before the next winter. 

And I never know when I’ll crave cranberry crumb bars, cranberry gooey butter bars, or cranberry orange scones!  

And now I can add this cranberry banana bread to my list of random cranberry cravings. After all, I love a sweet-tart combo, and there’s not a much better one than sweet bananas and tart cranberries.

The idea for this cranberry apple crisp originally came from my friend Emily over at Jelly Toast as a spin on her grandma’s traditional holiday apple crisp. 

I love the combination of the tart cranberries with the apples and sweet oat topping and think this would be a beautiful addition to your Thanksgiving menu.

These vibrant orange cranberry cookies are so easy to make. Cranberry and orange go together so well and I’m always looking for excuses to pair them up.

I’ve got cranberry orange scones and Grand Marnier-spiked homemade cranberry sauce, as well as cranberry orange cinnamon rolls and cranberry orange smoothies. You could say I’m obsessed!

Dried cranberries are often the go-to when it comes to cookies, but these fresh cranberry cookies have a great tart flavor that is complemented by the orange glaze.

You can make the glaze or go without, but I just love the added sweetness it brings!

This is such a great Christmas cookie to add to the dessert tray.

These Cranberry Crumb Bars have been a holiday favorite of mine since I first posted them way back in 2010.

When I was deciding what recipes I wanted to share with you this year, these bars made it to the top of my list because they are absolutely delicious, but the photos and text definitely needed a little updating.

The sweet crumb topping pairs perfectly with the tart cranberries. The pop of orange and hint of cinnamon makes them a festive addition to any holiday celebration.

Dessert bars are great for the holidays because they are perfectly portioned and are easier to make than cookies.

These cake bars are similar to cranberry crumb bars and cranberry bliss bars, but have a wonderful sweetened cream cheese filling that balances the tart berries.

A few weeks ago, my friend Heather gave me a little tub of goat cheese dip and a box of cranberry crisps that she picked up from Aldi. To say I’m obsessed with the pairing is a bit of an understatement.

Of course this combo is amazing on its own, but if you spread just a touch of jam or homemade cranberry sauce on top of the goat cheese dip, it’s a total game changer.

Cranberries are such an essential holiday food. It seems unexpected with cheese, but cranberries and cheese make a great combo, like in cranberry brie bites. 

When I think of cheese and the holidays, I automatically think of cheese balls. It’s such a great party appetizer!

I’m always on the lookout for the best cheese ball recipe, and this is definitely my new favorite.

This cheese ball recipe adds cranberries and goat cheese to cream cheese, pecans, and goat cheese. It’s sweet, tangy, and has just a bit of Worcestershire sauce for a bit of umami flavor.

I used to count down the days until I could buy the Starbucks Cranberry Bliss Bar. But now I have my own recipe, and honestly, it’s even better!

Cranberry is such a wonderful flavor that deserves more attention all year long. I’m not complaining about it getting its due in winter, though.

The flavors in these cranberry bars are similar to another copycat recipe of mine, glazed orange scones, as well as my cranberry orange bread and cranberry orange cinnamon rolls.

What can I say, I love the combo of cranberry and orange!

While I love cinnamon rolls any time of the year, there’s something really special about making them during the fall and winter holiday season.

Maybe it’s because I love getting in the kitchen with Elle, and she’s getting old enough to really start helping me with more of my baked goods. Even though we started out making things like No-Bake Cookies and Pumpkin Dip, she’s at an age where she can take on recipes with more steps to them.

I don’t know what it is about this year, but I am so far behind with holiday shopping right now. I was really ahead, but then I kind of just gave up. And if I’m being honest, just the thought of entering a mall right now gives me anxiety, so I’m thinking it’s going to be the year of the gift cards for quite a few people on my list.

One thing I’m not behind with is holiday baking. In fact, today I’m planning on making peanut butter blossoms and mint chocolate cookies with my girl today.

We may even whip up a couple of batches of snowflake sugar cookies because they are current favorite cookie recipe at the moment.
